Geneva International Motor Show, March 2019 — the global debut of the Jesko.

The name honours Christian von Koenigsegg's father, a gentleman jockey with lifelong ties to Sweden's equestrian community.125 units in total, built at 40–50 per year and delivered from June 2023; in 2022, BBC Top Gear named the Jesko "Hypercar of the Year".

It is the complete expression of Koenigsegg's engineering idea: a twin-turbo V8 carried to an 8,500 rpm redline, a Light Speed Transmission that jumps directly between gears, and two approaches built on one chassis — the Attack, engineered for cornering, and the Absolut, engineered for top speed.

An engine engineered for instant response

Displacement 5,065 cc, bore and stroke of 92 × 95.25 mm, compression ratio 8.6:1. Twin turbochargers ride on ceramic ball bearings; beneath the car, a 20-litre carbon fibre air tank is pre-pressurised by an electric compressor, bringing the turbos to life before exhaust energy arrives — turbo lag, systematically eliminated.

Light Speed TransmissionNine speeds. Direct jumps.

A nine-speed multi-clutch unit, 90 kilograms, leaping directly between any two gears.

A conventional gearbox shifts sequentially. The LST goes straight to the gear you need.

The nine-speed multi-clutch layout weighs 90 kilograms complete. When the demand appears, UPOD (Ultimate Power on Demand) moves instantly from the current gear to the target — for example, directly from 9th to 4th — completing each shift in 20 to 30 milliseconds. Whether cruising on one gear or accelerating flat out, the LST changes gear only when it is genuinely necessary.

In June 2024, at the same airfield, the Jesko Absolut first broke the record at 27.83 seconds; in August 2025 it was lowered to 25.21 seconds — both runs driven by Markus Lundh. The Light Speed Transmission, shifting in just 20 to 30 milliseconds, stands among the most important foundations of this result.

"That we achieve this level of performance with a production car utilizing a combustion engine with rear wheel drive only – beating all 4-wheel drive electric cars in a straight line is almost magical and shows that 'truths' can be re-written."

Sadair's SpearThe Final Racehorse

In 1976, old Jesko rode his favourite horse in his final race. Fifty years on, the horse's name became a new banner.

A name that crosses two generations.

Jesko von Koenigsegg was a gentleman jockey devoted to Sweden's equestrian community. In his final race, in 1976, he rode a horse named Sadair's Spear. On June 25, 2025, that name was given to the most track-focused car in the company's history: more power, less weight, a track-oriented cockpit, upgraded brakes and suspension, finely tuned aerodynamics — while remaining fully road legal in every global market.

Laguna Seca: 1 minute 24.16 seconds

On November 4, 2025, on the circuit where the Attack set its record, Sadair's Spear took the homologated-car benchmark further: 1 minute 24.16 seconds, verified by Racelogic. A strict 90 dB noise limit was in force that day, answered by fitting a heavy auxiliary muffler behind the rear — the record fell carrying ballast bolted to its tail.
